Submission guidelines.
Remu Press publishes books at the intersection of technology and the human questions it raises — AI and its cultural impact, business, education, and fiction. We accept queries on a query-first basis.
Initial query
Please do not submit a full manuscript in the first instance. A brief query of several paragraphs is sufficient. If your project is a fit for our list, we will request additional material.
An effective query addresses four points:
- The work — a clear description of the book and its scope.
- The author — your background and your qualification to write it.
- The readership — the audience you intend to reach.
- The contribution — what the work adds to existing titles in its field.
AI and authorship
Remu Press publishes books about technology, including artificial intelligence. It would be inconsistent of us to ask authors to keep these tools at arm’s length, and we do not.
Authors are welcome to write with AI — to draft, research, edit, and think with it. We neither penalize its use nor ask that it be concealed. Our titles argue that the advantage belongs to those who learn to use these tools well, and we hold ourselves to that position.
In return, we ask for accountability:
- A named human author is accountable for the work. You own the ideas, the accuracy, and the voice, however the words reached the page.
- Verify all output. These tools are capable and confidently wrong in equal measure. Every fact, quotation, and citation must be checked by a person. An AI-generated error remains the author’s error once in print.
- Produce a book only you could write. Use these tools to extend your reach, not to converge on a common voice. We are looking for a perspective.
- Disclosure of method is welcome. Where AI materially shaped the work, a brief note on how is good practice rather than a confession.
