It asks the questions now facing the organizations building AI systems: who is accountable for what a powerful system becomes, what obligations come with creating one, and what it means to be powerful enough to matter and not yet wise enough to be trusted.
Written for a general reader, with no technical background assumed. A Teaching Companion offers dual-track classroom material for middle and high school use.

S. James Champion is a technologist and cultural critic with more than thirty years in information technology. He is the founder of Remu Technologies and the author of Powerful Enough: How Star Wars Prepared Us for AI.
Full form
A technologist and cultural critic who has spent more than thirty years working in and around information technology. He holds a degree in Materials Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and founded Remu Technologies in 2025. He lives in Texas with his family.
