Remu Press is a small independent imprint. We do not maintain continuous open positions; our recruiting is concentrated in a single annual summer internship program.
Summer Internship Program
The Remu Press summer internship offers direct exposure to the operations of an independent press — acquisitions and editorial, production and design, and the technology through which books are produced and distributed. The program is deliberately small and structured for candidates with a substantive interest in publishing at the intersection of books and technology.
Interns typically contribute across three areas:
- Editorial and acquisitions — evaluating queries, preparing reader reports, and observing acquisition decisions.
- Production and design — the processes by which a manuscript becomes a finished paperback and ebook.
- Digital and audience development — how an independent press reaches readers and educators on a limited budget.
We weight curiosity, diligence, and clear writing above any particular credential. Students and early-career candidates are encouraged to apply.
